About us
Michael Gentilli
Player, head coach, consultant. Currently WR/TE coach, Vienna Vikings.
Michael has spent eight seasons as an import running back in Italy, Sweden, Bosnia, Finland, Spain, Austria and Germany. Long enough to learn how a European season really works: what a club can afford, how much practice time exists, and how quickly the year turns on two bad weeks.
On the field the record is a matter of public numbers. Back-to-back GFL rushing titles with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, a German Bowl in 2022, a European championship in 2021, and eight years on the Italian national team from 2017 to 2024.
As a coach he built a womens programme from an empty roster and took it two full seasons without a loss, winning the Ladies Bowl twice. He now coaches wide receivers and tight ends for the Vienna Vikings, and brings the same structure to clubs, federations and coaching staffs through MG Consulting.

Career
Italy · Player
Lazio Ducks, IFL
Two seasons as a starting back. Led the league in all-purpose yards in 2018 and took team MVP. The first year on a European roster is where the education started: how much practice time a club really has, and what a volunteer staff can carry.
Europe · Player
Six countries in three seasons
Sweden, Bosnia, Finland, Spain, Austria and Germany. A Superseries all-purpose yards title, a European championship in 2021 and a German Bowl in 2022. Every stop ran a different scheme on a different budget, which is where the method came from.
Germany · Player
Back-to-back GFL rushing titles
Two full seasons with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. Led the GFL in rushing in both, 1348 yards then 1175, and was voted team MVP twice. Twenty-four games against the best fronts on the continent.
Womens · Head coach
From an empty roster to two titles
Built the programme from nothing: recruiting, first-year curriculum, contact progression, equipment planning. Two seasons without a loss and two Ladies Bowl titles. That blueprint is what most clubs come asking for.
Current · Vienna
Wide receivers and tight ends, Vienna Vikings
Now on staff at the Vienna Vikings, running the receiver and tight end room at one of the strongest programmes in Europe. The consulting work runs alongside it, which keeps the advice tied to a season that is actually being coached.

How we work
Assess before advising
Film, practice plans and a conversation with your staff come first. Nothing gets handed over until the diagnosis is done.
Teach the staff
Your coaches run the installs while I am there, so the programme keeps running once I leave.
Plan for the club you are
Two practices a week, a shared gym and forty players with day jobs. Every plan is written against those numbers.
